About Me
I began my training journey as a therapist fifteen years ago gaining a Certificate in Counselling Skills from UWE, Bristol in 2005. A few years later I started my training as a Play Therapist and in 2020 I fully qualified as a Counsellor for adults. I have experience since 2017 working with adults at two low-cost counselling charities in Bristol. I setup a private practice in 2019 working from the Practice Rooms in Clifton and Southville. Bristol and now I also work online UK-wide.
In my therapy work so far I have counselled people who have experienced anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, chronic pain, grief, loss and bereavement, shame, neglect and trauma. I have worked with a wide range of people with differing backgrounds and experiences. In the past I have received extensive inclusion, equality and diversity training as a practitioner and manager whilst living and working in one of the most diverse communities in the South-West.
I'm a Registered Member of BACP and trained at BCPC in Humanistic and Integrative counselling. I hold an Association for Counselling & Therapy Online (ACTO) Accredited and National Counselling Society approved Certificate in Online & Telephone Counselling.
I'm also an Accredited Play Therapist and Creative Arts Counsellor for Children & Young People with PTUK. I have a private practice - Bristol Creative Play Therapy - working with children, young people and parents which I setup in 2018. You can visit that website here.
